The British singer-songwriter, who is known to be an ardent Ipswich Town fan, became emotional after the club returned to the Premier League, ending a 22-year exile. The Tractor Boys comfortably defeated Huddersfield 2-0 in their final match of the season to seal second place in the Championship behind Leicester City.

After Ipswich's triumph, Sheeran took to Instagram to share his joy and he can be seen teary-eyed while celebrating in the video he posted. In the story, he wrote: "Back to back promotions. First time in the Prem in 20 years. Emotional, well done lads."
